Kintaro Yajima comes to Tokyo and is hired by Yamato Construction Company when he saves the life of the company's CEO. A former leader of a motorcycle gang, Kintaro is known for his highly principled and forthright way of dealing with matters and is never afraid to tell his superiors exactly what he thinks. This has a tendency of irritating some; but when corruption from within the company begins to surface, he may be the only one who can stand up to it. This story is based on the best-selling comic book of the same title.

More manga than script, but acting is passable |

This is the worst! It's soooo over the top, but that's what makes it so appealing. |

Heh a pretty coo series. I enjoyed it a bit. It has it moments but mostly it deals with Kintaro trying to complete a task before a certain amount of time. |

Charming rags to riches story. With a strong supporting cast, Takahashi Katsunori is endearing as Kin-chan! |

Funny! [Rating: 7/10]
This was actually the first Japanese drama i watched, a long time ago. The action and dialogue is very stylized, and indeed seems to be taken straight from a comic. Kintaro's personality is like that of a samurai, which is at once admirable and unbelievable, and Takahashi's voice for this part is very funny. All the women love him for his samurai spirit, but he remains faithful to his deceased wife, putting all his energy into the company. The plot and subplots are all fairly innocuous and simplistic, and the fight scenes look really fake, but on the other hand, it's a great demonstration of Japanese values, and taken with the energetic theme song, tells the viewer to Ganbatte! I would recommend this one to younger viewers. |

Good! [Rating: 8/10]
I liked this drama! Katsunori Takashi as Yajima Kintaro, an ex biker gang leader and now works at a construction company. at the beginning he only sharpened pencils, as the story progresses he'll get more important and responsibles tasks to be achieved.
Wouldn't be nice to be Kintaro himself, women are chasing all over him=D He sure is a good fighter, gettin involved in fights a lot!
Kintaro's son is so cute! Just want to hug him tight!
Can't wait to see season 2 and 3! |
