*It's like, a unique masterpiece 2008/07/09
Reviewer: Suzie Kobayashi (CANADA) 5
I have to agree it's different from what M10M had done before, but it doesn't matter. It's still very recognizable. People tend to say it's overpriced but I don't think so because it's so brilliant (like always). There are "only" 7 songs but they're all outstanding (except maybe "Vain" which i liked a little less). The pictures with the lyrics are beautiful and everything is just perfect.

As soon as the introduction song started I knew it was going to be good. If I could give it 10 stars instead of 5, I would, because I think this CD deserves it. Eternally Beyond is now probably one of my favorite M10M songs ever!

*Great 2008/01/07
Reviewer: Hikari (UNITED KINGDOM) 5
I've listened to this before I bought the CD. At first I didn't really like it that much but my favourite song is Unmoved. When I went to see their concert in Sweden after hearing the songs performed live I really liked the songs. The sound of the twin guitars is what makes this album different from the previous releases.

*A new beginning 2007/12/12
Reviewer: Pagan (NETHERLANDS) 5
Juka left, and soon after Kazuno and Tohru also departed, leaving Mana and K to replace all of them. Soon they found new vocalist Seth (with delightful eyepatch), and the three of them star on this album, with live support of Sugiya (bass) and Hayato (drums) until they joined permanently with the release of Dixanadu.

It's an EP with 5 songs plus intro and outro. It's still very much Moi Dix Mois, but it's definately a new beginning. The album is short and perhaps a little overpriced (although at my store it was a fair price for 7 songs), but the songs on here belong to some of my favourites...maybe because this was my first Moi Dix Mois release? Could be.

*Thanks Mana-sama 2006/10/24
Reviewer: Victor J. (SPAIN) 5
Thanks Mana-sama!!!. This is the third album from Moi dix Mois and it has a big evolution about another wokrs. Only this edition is available, what a pity. My favourite song is "Deus ex Machina". The album is a hard rock gotic style. This work remember my favourite song from Malice Mizer "Baptism of Blood" (b-side included on Beast of Blood single)

*Not bad but ... 2006/08/29
Reviewer: Sakura-chan (ITALY) 3
There are only 7 songs (5 if I don't include the interludes) and not all are beautiful. ''Eternally Beyond'' and ''deus ex machina'' are the only two songs catchy, the others are ok but nothing special.

*To boldly go . . . Mana isn't stopping! 2006/07/12
Reviewer: La Traviata (UNITED KINGDOM) 5
With their new line-up, including a new vocalist, MdM have literally stepped Beyond the Gate. However, the change isn't nearly as drastic as you might think: the Metal component is stronger, there are Industrial elements and Seth's voice is deeper and more mature than Juka's but the overall sound ist still unmistakeably MdM, from multi-layered symphonic compositions right down to the deep operatic vocals. But there is more: twin guitars ignite a firework a Thrash Metal band would be proud of, swathes of synth undulate like heavy fog and - shock, horror! - Seth's honeyed vocals are at times distorted by a megaphone. Perhaps some are too blinkered to appreciate the courage of an artist constantly expanding his musical horizon and would prefer him to make the same album over and over again. Thankfully, Mana prefers to explore new avenues instead and here proves once again that his creativity and integrity are second to none; no matter how often he reinvents his beautiful world of darkness, he always stays true to his unique artistic vision. And those who say that he isn't a decent guitarist merely prove their own ignorance: anybody who has seen him live in concert knows otherwise!

*Good surprise! 2006/06/07
Reviewer: Kay (FRANCE) 5
A very good medium album! The regular version is as beautifull as the limited one ^^
The booklet is gorgeous too.

*What happened?! 2006/05/11
Reviewer: Carlos (MEXICO) 2
What was a promissory project like Nocturnal Opera, soon turned into it's own perdition. We all know that Mana is not a great musician, not even a decent guitarrist, but I think that he might have an aesthetical sense. He returned to the use of drum machines, that are, nearly by law, forbidden by good taste in any rock musical approach. The synthesizers were improved, I must admit, but the intricate harpsichord lines that we heard in past records are not present. The riffs are mediocre at best, Therion-like power chords all over the place. And then the price factor - this is a mini-album indeed. The price should be the adequate for it. When I bought this album, I thought the tracks would be longer than 10 minutes each or so. But at the end I repented of buying this. Anyway, fans will be happy with this so-called album; ocassional listeners will be dissapointed, and like myself, stay with Nocturnal Opera.

*Beyond The Gate 2006/05/09
Reviewer: Kiga (FINLAND) 5
By first I was going to buy the limited edition of "Beyond The Gate" but I ended up to buy both limited and regular editions!
"Beyond The Gate" is different but still classic Moi dix Mois.

*More of what the fans love! 2006/04/16
Reviewer: NeoDemonia (UNITED KINGDOM) 4
Moi dix Mois have yet again created a beautiful, theatrical and dark album. The albums soaring melodies and vocals have made the bands second album an instant classic that you can listen to over and over again.

The only downfall to the album is that it is way too short. Surely there was more material Moi dix Mois could offer it's fans apart from instrumentals[?].
