Awesome 2007/02/09

Even though I preordered this last year... I really did like it. But the code of vulgarism is better in my opinion. This was not one of their best concerts.. But it is really awesome to watch.^^

Very Nice DVD Box 2007/02/01

This is the DVD to Dir en grey's It Withers And Withers Tour'05. They most play songs from "Vulgar" and "Withering To Death". It's a pitty that they don't play old stuff from "Gauze", "Macabre" or "Kisou". 5 stars for this much bonus footage furthermore I was at a concert from Dir en grey's '05 Tour.

I absolutely ADORE this dvd! Esp. the bonus discs, they're wonderful. The multi-angle versions of Kodou and Dead Tree are a real treat. And the gig featured on the second disc is just perfect for showing to people you want to introduce Dir en grey to - no fish-hooking, or any blood for that matter, no major gaps in the lyrics (Kyo tends to not sing whole chunks of text during lives), and the performance is amazing *___*

No del todo mal, pero sinceramente creo que es el dvd mas normalillo que han sacado hasta la fecha, se echa de menos la enegia de otros tours. En cuanto a la edicion esta muy cuidada como siempre^^

Watching the concert brings back all the wonderful memories.
Also, the multi-angle feature is a great idea.
Dir en grey did not let their fans down.

Amazingly gripping. 2006/06/08

An explosive three-part event!
The main things that won me over was Kyo's intense interraction with the audience, the band's constant movement around the stage, how happy they all seemed to be performing--and the little tidbits that Dir en grey throws into every song to make each live version of it remarkably different. Kyo's vocals are low, haunting, screeching and hysterical, as well as gorgeous and pained. Beautiful ballads such as: Itoshisa ha fuhai nitsuki & Higeki ha mabuta wo oroshita yasashiku utsu are indeed tearjerking and gorgeous.
Then you have the heavier songs, Merciless Cult, CHILD PREY, CLEVER SLEAZOID, OBSCURE, and down to the sulleningly heavy: dead tree. You have the songs that get you up on your feet: umbrella & INCREASE BLUE, as well as the final finish of THE IIID EMPIRE. This was one of the best Dir en grey DVDs I've ever seen, and I've loved every second of all 3 discs. I was happy to catch a little preview of the new single on Disc #3.
Great! A very hard to now find, but a must buy!

The best Dir en grey live DVD 2006/05/18
Reviewer: iori (BRAZIL) |
Kyo has some problems with his voice, but most of time he's able to do an OK job, at least on disc 1. The band is giving 100% on their performance from the moment they step on stage to the moment they leave it.
Disc 2 is no big deal, only interesting if you're a hardcore fan.
Disc 3 is interesting, 4 full songs at the tour documentary, 4 songs with multi-angle, the "Taste Of Chaos Japan 2005" documentary and a very pretty PV with live footage for "Higeki ha Mabuta wo Oroshita Yasashiki Utsu".
At least the main concert is a "must have" for every fan of the aggressive Dir en grey.
