A hot-blooded lawyer pursues justice in the KBS drama My Lawyer, Mr. Joe. Park Shin Yang (Sign), who won the Top Excellence Award at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards, transforms into a legal hero in the courtroom comedy, which also includes Kang So Ra (Warm and Cozy) as a young attorney, Park Sol Mi (To My Beloved) as the hero's wife and Ryu Su Young (Endless Love) as the protagonist's prosecutor friend. Adapted from Haechoolring's webcomic Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho, which began serialization in March 2013, My Lawyer, Mr. Joe was directed by Lee Jung Sub (Healer) and written by Lee Hyang Hee (The King's Face). Raised in an orphanage, Jo Deul Ho (Park Shin Yang) grows up to become a righteous prosecutor and marries attorney Hae Kyung (Park Sol Mi), whose father is the chairman of a major law firm. After learning that his childhood friend has been falsely accused of arson, Deul Ho decides to prosecute powerful CEO Jung (Jung Won Joong, House of Bluebird), whose son is the real culprit behind the case. However, he gets framed for accepting bribes from the defendant and is sentenced to six months in jail. After going through a period of homelessness, Deul Ho pulls himself together and embarks on a new career as a lawyer who protects innocent people from wrongful convictions. |
