Daiwon CI recently published a comic book based on the movie Daddy-Long-Legs. Both the movie and comic book are based on the heart-warming and special love story from a novel of the same title by Jean Webster. Daddy Long Legs by cartoonist Dochan features detailed yet clean-cut illustrations of pastel colors that reflect upon poetic content. Daddy Long Legs is the story of an orphan Yeongmi with an anonymous sponsor. She grows up to be a bright and courageous scenario writer with helps from Daddy Long Legs. She then falls in love with Junho, who works at the company's archive.

In her new movie Daddy-Long-Legs that borrowed its name from the famous novel by Jane Webster, famous Korean star Ha Ji-won portrays the naive but good-hearted high school girl Cha Young-mi. Left to her own devices after the tragic loss of her parents, Young-mi is determined to overcome whatever hardships the future may bring in order to complete her education. Through the help of an invisible benefactor who pays for her tuition fees and other necessary expenses, Young-mi is able to finish her studies and is offered her dream job as program writer for a radio station. It is there that she meets and falls in love with her colleague Kim Joon-hoo (Yeon Jeong-hoon). After Young-mi discovers a desperate message left behind by the former owner of her computer she decides to do something to help this heartbroken person …

Ha Ji-won has appeared in such popular movies as Love So Divine, in which she plays a wild girl that falls in love with a soon-to-be priest or My Love Ssagajy : 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant for which she slips into the role of a cheeky high school girl.
