First album for a new comiyavi 2008/12/17
Reviewer: comiyavi (CANADA) |
There are about a million good things that I can say about Miyavi and this album, but I guess the most meaningful thing I can say is that despite being in love with Japanese music for so long, this is the first Japanese album that I've bought, and it's because the quality of this album really deserves to be heard in CD quality; Miyavi's voice and guitar skills are absolutely incredible and I know that I'll listen to it at least a few hundred times before I move on to something else... so I might as well get the best quality possible and let my ears enjoy it the proper way.
I love most of the stuff Miyavi's and have already bought the rest of his albums, but for new fans it may be good to start with this one and then go back to his earlier works; as for old fans... well, most of you already have this one, don't you? ^_^

I loved this disc. But the DVD is what really made me greatful for buying it. Seeing Miyavi and the KAVKI BOIZ do their thing makes me want to see them live again, every time!

Best Tour DVD 2008/11/08

Although the musics aren't as good as "This Iz The Japanese Kabuki Rock" the tour dvd is perfect, it'd kind of nostalgic to see his show in Brazil, and I could see myself in the crowd *o*

Miyavi-tastic 2008/09/10

Miyavi at his best. Miyavi rock; Miyavi rap; Miyavi jazzy; Miyavi soft and contemplative; Miyavi emo. All in one! An excellent showcase of his talent, and how far he's come to reach a more massive audience while still being true to himself. A great addition to any Miyavi library, or for anyone wondering what he's all about.

An incredible compilation 2008/09/09

This is Miyavi at his best here - I had been hoping for a MiyaBI sides (B-sides) collection for some time, and it seems that this may be as close as I'll ever get.
The album is more an alternate vision of what "Miyabi ~This iz the Japanese Kabuki Rock~" could (or perhaps SHOULD) have turned out as. Gone are foolish tracks such as "Nowheregod", and in its place are classic rarities such as "Itoshii Hito" and "Kimi ni Negai wo", and a couple of new tracks recorded during the Kabuki Rock sessions.
"As U R ~Kimi wa Kimi no Mama de~" is a good track that is reminiscent of the Miyavi/Tyko B-sides of late (such as "My Name iz Oresama.com"), and leans more towards hip-hop. The second new track, "Wake Up Honey", is a revelation of not only rock, but composition within the genre and the medium itself. Miyavi has a strangle-hold on his own talents and the rest of the Kavki Boiz, strength that he utilises best in the instrumentals.
The DVD is excellent fun, and puts you on the road with Myv for the space of 30 minutes, taking you across the USA Circuit and the South Amerika Circuit.
Highly recommended!

I love this CD/DVD as much as the JPN Pride. Wake Up Honey & As U R are lovely tracks- jazzy, refreshing & catchy. As usual Miyavi songs & lyrics are deeply artful & meaningful. Tsurezure Naruhibi naredo PV is simple but touchy esp if you have seen him in one of his tour concert the PV brings back good memories. Love the edition to the end.

This is an awsome thing to have. My younger sister loves it. The poster is cute and the dvd she said she loved.
It's a nice addition to have if you love Miyavi's music.

First, it shipped before the release date, so as if that wasn't exciting enough it only took 2 days to get here =^.^=
The first thing I did was put the poster up (yayyy first press!) then I watched the DVD. I was really amused, and the live footage brought memories *sigh*. So I'm really happy :D I haven't listened to the CD yet but I already know its good (;
